Oh my goodness! I have read all three of those plus Nettle and Bone. What moves the dead, and what feasts at night were my favorite so far. I am so excited for the third book coming out in September.

I have pretty high hopes. I’ve seen the movie with Keira Knightley and I liked that. I almost always like books better than the movie adaptations so I’m hoping this holds true here.

I pre-ordered this, but I haven’t started reading it yet. I’ve read several books by this author though, and I’ve loved each one.

In fact, there were many times in history where if you were not a wealthy family, your children were also working to contribute to the household. Whether that be in farming, family owned business, cooking or cleaning for others to help bring in money.

I wish people knew what a lie the trad wife lifestyle is. People have this idea that before “woke feminism” women historically stayed home and took care of the children and that’s simply not the case. If you weren’t a wealthy woman, you were working to help support the house hold.

Of course it’s a Nazi salute. He’s a third generation Nazi. His maternal grandparents were Nazis. His mother and father made their fortune in South Africa during the apartheid through slavery. He grew up when their version of the KKK were throwing Nazi salutes at rallies trying to save apartheid.

Every time I hear one of my coworkers bring up not getting taxed on their tips I roll my eyes so hard. Can someone get eye strain injuries from rolling your eyes too often?

I don’t think it’s irrational, I think it’s justified. Holding a book in front of you is a clear sign that you are not open for a conversation. Everyone knows it’s super rude to talk in a movie theater whilst everyone’s watching a movie but somehow that goes out the window just because it’s a book.

Some people praised Carrie Underwood saying she was brave for staying calm and singing the national anthem during the inauguration when there was technical troubles. This is what real bravery was on Inauguration Day, she used her position to advocate for those with no voice. This is a leader.

I’m supper psyched for season three, I was so excited about what was going on in the season two finale that I was literally on my feet, just standing in the center of my living room for the whole last 20 minutes of that episode.

I waited ten years for them to make this show. I like what they’re doing with the adaptation, and I think Robert Jordan would approve.

The wheel of Time series will always have a special place in my heart, but my favorite read of last year was One Dark Window by Rachel Gilling. That series lived rent free in my head for most of 2024.

I hope this is true, but I’m still very worried. He knows more going into this presidency than the last and I feel like he’s surrounded himself with more troubling cabinet members. I feel like last time he had been dipping his feet in the pool of Fascism and now he’s jumped in completely.

I was sad when it went dark last night, but honestly, I’m not feeling much better now but it’s back up. They spent about 12 hours kissing Donald Trump‘s ring and now they’re back up and I’m having trouble processing that. It feels tainted now.

I have seen that screenshot, honestly, I would rather have no TikTok than a TikTok run by Elon Musk. Who knows though, maybe after this first shut down byte dance might be scared into taking a deal with 50-50 ownership.
