Favourite fantasy race? For all my love for elves, Dwarves takes the cake with how diverse their origin and mythos can be. Dwarven culture hasn't been shown alot so I'm happy to see War Within give us that an more with Earthen!

helping them grow rather than putting them down. I’m glad that Pirate has moved on from WoW, because in the end they didn’t care enough to deserve a creator like him. It is a loss on their part and how they chose to deal with the situation will forever be a sign of what creators Onlyfangs prefers.

In the end, Pirate’s Gkick from Onlyfangs is bittersweet. For it means a diffusion of the hatred but also its justification. It means an end of interest in the content farmed from the drama, but also an end to the moments where Pirate and his community lifted up lesser known creators,

If it were me, I’d also refuse blame. This goes mainly to Pirate’s main defense which is that the boss isn’t CC-able. He saw the healer die to heal threat generation on the new pack and the druid died to taunting a mastiff which slows them down enough for the pack to catch up and kill them.

As I’ve seen the debate develop, the less important the dungeon becomes. It’s used to justify the hatred but really it’s been about Pirate’s attitude at the time. As communications degrade and the group directs their attention to Pirate’s lack of action, Pirate refuses to accept blame.

Communication is now scrambled, mistakes are being made due to the conflict of fight or flight, resulting in another pack of enemies being pulled and both healer and DPS dying. Would Pirate have been able to save them? Arguably no, not from where he was at the moment of the second pack being pulled.

If they can handle the situation as it stands. Regardless, they call to run and now it’s everyone’s responsibility to try to get the group out alive. They put down a target dummy which tugs some enemies away from the tank, shots are being called to kill the low health enemies to lessen the damage.

-point, leveling from 1-60 without death is a feat to be proud of and it’s heartwrenching to lose that effort in an instant. So, the group pulls a pack which spirals into another and then the local boss as well. The group begins running back, scared that the situation will get worse and unsure-

Pirate’s situation and the aftermath has essentially ruined the motivation for playing classic for me. Summarizing the events: Dire Maul consists of dangerous packs of lesser enemies and several boss characters. The group Pirate was a part of to clear Dire Maul has spent several days to get to this-

Playing Hardcore has given me plenty of opportunity to act toxic, but as much as I would want to yell at the tank for not clearing Destroyer packs in BRD or swear at the mage for AOE bursting on pull, the Hardcore mindset calls for us to behave with dignity.

Because if I act like total asshat to strangers on the internet, then someone might think I don’t deserve being pulled from the fire if I’m standing in it, or they might see an opportunity to screw me over and take it due to my own toxic behaviour.

PirateSoftware is one of the many participants of this event, it was mainly due to his involvement that I became encouraged to attempt Hardcore on my own. The general attitude and steadfast belief that “If you die you just go again” helped me keep my attitude in mind whilst playing.
