Sorry but that's WRONG, you can feed a family of 4 on a 1/4 acre of land - your info is outdated because using new methods you can grow more on less land!
Now that doesn't include animal pens for chickens, pigs etc. because the vast majority of poor do not live in counties where you can get permits.
