OK...it's actually not as bad as I thought. I only paid $3000. Also, with it ending in $0.99, clearly my insurance didn't get the memo about the pennies lol.

Sooo my spouse started to get hounded on Discord during State of Play. Looks like Square Enix copied his homework lol.

Yay Final Fantasy Tactics Remastered? Maybe we can thank AI for this?

Just a break from your normally scheduled societal collapse.

Me rejoining the convo at work despite being "too busy" to help once I hear that they want to compare accessibility maturity to growing plants.

This is niche, but also so real. When I'm so often bedridden and have a laptop in my bedroom...sometimes JAWS and NVDA decides to update very loudly while we're sleeping 🤦🏼‍♀️

Delaware is finally first again....first to elect an openly trans person to Congress. It won't fix anything, but it's something.

I know the unions in particular came out for her.

I think my garden is happy to see me...

First time traveling alone in a while, and it is going better than expected. ID checker gave me shade because I couldn't hold my ID and boarding pass when I had a forearm crutch in one hand and rolling bag in the other (rolls eyes).

Looking like a vampire bit me, but it's just from thicc needle gages from my intrascalene nerve block. They avoided the suvclavicular and jugular arteries, although it's the same spacing since it's right next to it 😜

I think Mondays will be my new designated day of rest now that I'm on short-term disability. So today, I'm watching Elementary and finishing my brother's weighted blanket.

I start disability leave tomorrow for at least 3 months, and I'm going to attempt to rekindle my cosplaying by pulling together a different cosplay every day (that I can). For tonight though, just Warlock stout and nachos 🥰

Without downloading any new pics, where are you mentally?

Could be in part my blurry vision (eye issues), but there was no way to tell before. Now that I KNOW there's a Q-tip, I can understand the white spot on the left, but otherwise it's not really obvious.

It even prompted a suggestion for a Halloween costume. (But please don't shake or stir me...I have balance issues.)

My friend properly noted the irony on Discord. (Sjogren's affects tear ducts and thus tear production)

My mom graciously shared my dad's reaction.

Today's lesson:
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Reduce is difficult, in part because it's not always obvious. For example, I HATE beige, but I'm still using the hamper my spouse brought when we moved in. The one I brought is fraying a bit, but we transfer clothes to a basket for carrying so it's fine.

There's a person walking around with an Elvis cut, a well-behaved dog, and 2 pots of Devil's Ivy in a bag. I want to be them when I grow up. [Face removed for privacy]

Me: I don't need an infusion! I can handle lots of blood work.
Them: [slaps down bucket of almost 20 vials]
Me: So I might need an infusion.
