It's such garbage. Not only did taking away community captions isolate creators from other languages in a devastating way that's never quite been fixed (very Story of Babel), but Youtube also censors its auto captions.

As a HoH person, thank you so much for this video. I was almost in tears by the end.
It is so infuriating to live in a world with actual solutions to actual problems while seeing these solutions just ... abandoned because someone won't make a buck.
