This is a fantastic podcast - thank you for your insights. I’d like to add something: I’m a white person and live in a red state. These people do not really want an authoritarian leader. They want someone who will do things for them only. They are starting to feel oppression and oligarch privilege!

I don’t believe this is true. Fragile white men have been grumbling about DEI for many years now. It may have become a national topic in recent years.
