"Lonely Boy." I love my '70s stations, but that song is an instant channel change. I specifically will not listen to 70s on 7 while I'm in the shower because then if it comes on, I'm trapped, unable to escape from that awful, self-centered whinefest.

Simply put: we need y'all to get fucking angry. We need y'all to be pissed. We need y'all to reflect what we're feeling right now. We need to know that you feel our collective pulse.

It's not that rhetoric isn't useful. It's that not only is there an absence of a plan to combat what we're seeing, but on top of that, the rhetoric from many Democratic lawmakers feels detached. The messaging is ludicrously subdued. Unhelpfully formal. There is a massive failure in reading the room.
