California had a design for a Cyclops (maybe?) in 1972!

Stavanger has a hovenring!

(Oddly the tourist board didn’t seem to be aware of this fact)
Stavanger’s “floating cycle roundabout” is less obviously pretty than Eindhoven’s because it lacks the “Central Maypole”, but if you’re a brutalism fan, it does float pretty well. More “hovering” concrete More gracefully curving concrete
