gavin's latest communique about the state of the commander format moving forward is driving me a little crazy. not because of the bracket changes or the proposed hybrid change but because they talked about banning rhystic study, but also didn't want to because it was "so iconic to the format"

been working very recently on my dredge edh concept again, trying to see what the most dedicated list for turboïng out a gy combo looks like, this is what i have so far:

apparently some cedh tournament had its final round go over 11 hours because one player was "politicking" (trash talking and stalling) for the vast majority of that time and looking into it is showing me that cedh is literally just a joke, as is "politics" as a strategy

i haven't gotten to play any matches of pdh yet, sadly. the night i planned for we didn't get enough people and nothing fired. on the other hand, pioneer edh did get to go off with three players. it was much slower and grindier, owing to how much less tools you have especially for multiplayer in pio

while i really like this card and think its got interesting utility for what it is, i don't think it's fallen out of favor simply because the format has gotten faster. most major pieces for fast mana have been in the format since this card released
This card is a great example of how much faster Commander is these days. It used to be a popular powerhouse card in the early days of the format for Sacrifice decks (you can get shocklands!) and it still reads good imo, but it's been way too slow for so many years that most CMD players don't know it

I have a pair of Jumpstart “duals”. I haven’t seen any like mine though in which both cards bled into each other. The Forest was apparently in the same pack as the Swamp even though it was the Liliana themed pack.

i downloaded morrrowind on a lark last night but i was also very tired. so after i wandered around the starting town for a couple minutes i inevitably fell asleep at my computer and woke up face down in the water dead without ever having saved the game
