If you love 10-20 year old SUVs you should visit Detroit.

Like Woodward Ave in Detroit. Nothing says "bike route" like 50+ mph traffic and 5+ lanes for cars.

When you turn on the "bike" layer on Google Maps.

This is a decent kids menu, both in terms of aesthetics and nutrition. We can and should do a better job in the US to include children in our society in a meaningful way, and it can start with little things like this. Accessible seating, space for play and exploration and independence, food, etc.

This book should be in the fantasy category. It's illegal to build like this in most of America.

Detroit transit directions: "Run across this 8 lane highway with no crosswalk for approximately a mile to catch the bus."

State and local DOTs: "But we just don't know how to keep drivers out of bike lanes and off of sidewalks."

Kids, moms, and teachers love it! Dads are ignorant oafs, absent from their kids' lives.

I love parking my bike on giant oil stains in every single parking lot.

One time I was walking down the street in Hamtramck, in a rush, late for a meeting at work as usual, and someone stopped me and handed me this note.

This? There is a lot going on here but at least there are multiple options.

Show me the worst bike racks you have ever seen.

I did own a pickup truck at one time. I really liked it actually, but it just wasn't practical for what I needed a car for most of the time. It also got terrible gas mileage, was too big, and was dangerous for other people on the road.

I like to buy bulk mulch, it's not enough to make delivery by dump truck worth it so I save a bit by renting the trailer. I also use a trailer sometimes to move the cargo bike if it really breaks down. But I definitely get what you mean!

As tempting as it is to pay $800 per month to "own" a pickup truck, I settle with paying $20 to rent a trailer a couple of times per year.
