A solo studio crafting games, tools, and software that entertain, empower, and solve real problems. I build, learn, and document it all in public.
I published a studio note today: Cybernetks: 2026.

It outlines the direction I’m setting for my solo studio. What “self-sustaining” really means to me, how I’m building in public, and why I’m optimizing for longevity over speed.

No hype. Just clarity.

I’ve reintroduced a warm-up into my routine: a small code kata before work. Not for mastery. Not for improvement. Just to clear the noise and begin with intention.

Most of the battle is in the beginning.

Experimenting with the Pomodoro Technique to stay focused while building Cybernetks. Small, deliberate cycles of deep work are outperforming long, unfocused hours. Focus is a system, not a mood.

Progress isn’t always about speed.
Sometimes it’s about direction.

Between client work, family, and the house, I’ve learned to keep momentum by following a Developer Roadmap — a simple guide that makes slow weeks still meaningful.

Day 2 of Brackey’s Game Jam 2025.2: I finally moved away from tutorial mode and started embracing the docs.

Gems, a mechanical banker NPC, sounds, and a GameState singleton are now in the game.

Next up: UI + hazards.

Kicked off Brackey’s Game Jam 2025.2 this weekend.

Theme: Risk it for the biscuit.
I’m building a mining platformer where you risk gems on dangerous paths but can bank them at checkpoints.

Started diving into Godot’s scripting language with Brackeys’ GDScript intro.
Python-like syntax, nodes everywhere, signals & groups… it feels flexible to code with.

I wrote up my first reflections + what’s next as I head into Brackeys Game Jam 2025.2 this weekend:

I’m expanding the studio to include tools, SaaS, and creative software — not just to entertain, but to solve real problems too.

Why I’m Expanding Cybernetks Beyond Just Games
Cybernetks was never just about games. It just took me a while to realise it. I’ve been quietly reshaping the direction of Cybernetks. What started as a one-man game dev studio is now evolving into s...

I paired with a more experienced React dev this week—and took the driver seat.

It was intimidating at first, but typing through the fear helped me learn more than any tutorial ever has.

The Power of Pair Programming
Pair programming can feel intimidating—especially when you’re not the expert. But stepping into the driver’s seat taught me more about React (and myself) than any tutorial ever could.

I used to wait until I had the perfect time block to learn or build something.

But “no time” turned into “no progress.”

Today I broke the loop—with just 10 minutes.

I finally sat down and defined what Cybernetks is all about—why I’m building this solo dev studio, what it stands for, and how I plan to grow it in public.

This one feels important.

Why I’m Building This Studio
I've had the idea for a studio floating in my head for a while now. I started the branding process, second-guessed it, polished it a bit more, and pushed it aside more times than I can count. But a f...
