But then, I don’t think Peter Capaldi wore his costume better than Jodie in her first episode. Maybe keep the Capaldi coat over a version of the new trousers and braces for a “tramp Capaldi” look like Troughton and Tom’s (first) costumes are tramp Hartnell and Pertwee

The costume for me is a miss. They toy with the idea of making her a cosmic bag lady with charity shop clothes and land on the most designed look since Eric Saward left the building. And I really like the look that inspired it, but somewhere that got lost in the mix.
