Most of the companies (except Open AI) HAD teams of ethicists, anthropologists, sociologists working with them behind the scenes trying to help them do it right. THEY FIRED THEIR ETHICS DEPARTMENTS when OpenAI rushed to market. It *is* on them, but they didn't do it and not gonna do it now. #resist

It wasn't even a Canadian ad, it was from the Ontario government led by their Conservative Party... Maybe MAGA Republicans are conservatives in name only?

How can people *donate* to the military?

Isn't that just paying taxes?

Can I, as a citizen, *donate* to support HUD or NSF or something?

This sounds about consistent with my experience with the entire American school system, just FYI.

Let's not be politically correct. Let's just admit that you stole your "invention" from a woman twenty years your senior, claimed other people's work as your own, and became a billionaire by selling it to Zuck.

Please have a look -- I've been busy, there's a lot there you probably didn't know about. Citing even one of these papers may help me balance out the personal cost of breaking my code of ethics, even if that really isn't how ethics works ...

Anyway i have some catching up to do. :(

"The data showed that left-wing extremists have carried out 41 attacks since 2016, compared with 152 from the far right over the same period.
Left-wing violence has killed 13 people over the past decade — far fewer than the 112 deaths from right-wing attacks and 82 from jihadists."

This is an amazing graph. Isn't it showing that it's basically ALL not-left-wing terrorism? Except for this year when there's ~2 attacks? Yet the headline....?
