Starting on the teeth - these are at the "plastic booger" stage and are mashed out of mouldphorm plastic. Need to reheat them to form them into their final shape.

Today I had the privilege of an on-site visit to the EISCAT Svalbard radar for ionospheric and atmospheric research. Was awesome to see it up close!

Now with the cable gland holes done, it's on to the final two horns - this pattern is made from a fence wire skeleton filled with modelling foam and low-melt plastic and will be removed once a fibreglass shell has been built over it.

Needed to fit cable glands to my head, but couldn't use the backnuts as there wasn't enough room and the internal surface is uneven. Instead, we're going to cast the threads using epoxy putty - this should make threads strong enough for non-structural applications like this, more below. 1/7
