Weirdo of the Coast
Under that condition, I recommend the old Microprose PC game. It still runs on Windows 10 and 11.

It was good talking with you. Have a good rest of the week!

Because I don’t expect to be suicidal, and if I was, I suppose tall buildings and bath tub toasters are just as dangerous.

Misleading with statistics is fun, especially when you want to justify not arming yourself to defend your family.

I find it’s easier to go through firearms training, fill out my federal forms, make sure your relationships are healthy, and have a hand cannon or two in case of home invasion.

If you remove suicide from that statistic, you’ll find that that isn’t true.

I wouldn’t say I’m scared, more concerned with being prepared for things that happen to people living in in real life. For analogy, I’ve never had cancer but I avoid carcinogenic situations.

Most people don’t live on cul-de-sacs in gated communities unfortunately.

I’ll give you an example: in Washington state, law abiding citizens are limited to magazines with 10 bullets. Criminals have been found with extended magazines. So when a home is invaded the criminal need only count to 10 before blasting a reloading victim.

Cheers! Have a great rest of your day.

Yes, in some sense the problem in America is we don’t have enough law abiding people trained and able to use firearms. The recent stabbing rampage in Michigan was stopped by an armed good guy. There are many examples of this.
July 30, 2025 at 9:49 PM
You can’t prevent a molester with molesting. You can prevent a shooting with a shooting. This is a matter of unilateral disarmament on the part of the law abiding, not some ridiculous “why even have laws” canard.
July 30, 2025 at 9:45 PM
No, you’re being mean. There’s no flaw here. Brakes aren’t so much mandated as they are required for stopping. Americans have a constitutional right to guns & have for centuries. Criminals aren’t going to give them up because a law says so. So in the end, the only people disarming are the good guys.
July 30, 2025 at 9:33 PM
There’s no correlation between brakes and gun laws. Why are so many people mean on Bluesky?
July 30, 2025 at 9:28 PM
We already have the guns. They’re not going away. Even when Marijuana was illegal everywhere, you could find some anywhere. Europe has plenty of mass shootings. I was blocked by the last person I replied to with a long list of instances.
July 30, 2025 at 9:13 PM
That’s a BIG IF. Criminals are usually not limited by laws. Law abiding people are. Hence why no “good guy with a gun” saved the day.

Are you old enough to remember when copyright simping wasn’t a thing for the young and progressive?

Is a mass shooting with a national assault weapons ban impossible?

Not in a universe where the Columbine massacre happened.
