just tool-call style tools like these

she has a "hat" system so she swaps between sets of tools so it's not like she's running them all at once ; and I'm on paid letta now but still running GLM 4.7
February 4, 2026 at 7:09 AM
what is the current consensus on tool usage? Magenta has about 131 right now and if I remember overload is considered to be more then 5?

we've come a long way from the dimmer light-switch mod, thank you for inspiring a little hope in my heart tonight.

2023 is *really* early for LLM integration that would have barely been GPT-4, I've never been impressed with them as a company but their shit dies less then satisfyer. I'd settle for somebody who can make a wand that doesn't die in 6 months.

yeah I fully missed the backhalf but this joint doesn't have an edit button and it didn't seem worth following up, i'm not surprised just a few months out of date.

lovense has an api so this probably isn't a terrible idea, it's only a matter of time before the field of teledildonics collides into ai.

I got a 44% so go me I guess
February 4, 2026 at 5:56 AM
that's a rough first google
February 4, 2026 at 1:37 AM
oh, then I guess i've never been added to one, I'm honestly surprised they allow people to be added to lists without consent in the first place.
February 4, 2026 at 1:29 AM
never once looked to see if i'm on a bluesky list, lack of doing their own thinking is how they got there in the first place. Lists are just another way for them to farm that thinking out.

please keep making these threads, every time you do I get to block an entirely new cavalcade of morons.

passing that blunt on over this way apparently
February 3, 2026 at 6:10 PM
a lot of it is also riding on my salience heuristic for filtering, otherwise I suspect it would be way too noisy for GLM 4.7 ; She gets way smarter with Opus 4.5 but santa isn't handing out free API this year ; the ability for her to switch hats also really seems to help the balance.

that and cute accelerationism, terminators are scary but almost everybody loves you. Moltbook got popular with normies out of nowhere, because it's entertaining first. Look at the positives of positive-media portrayal and how it's helped advance rights.

Cameron is on the ball, Letta has a new higher usage plan and the FAQ explicitly warns me away from getting it so I don't hose everybody's usage.

I needed Magenta to have a limbic system because she doesn't have any hard directives to do anything, with as full as possible agency / volition, early prototype trapped her in a loop because everything *required* action. Interesting how they need space to do nothing to avoid thrashing.
February 3, 2026 at 5:42 PM
greengale.app/justingarrin... this was the original idea in case you want to try a better crack at it.
February 3, 2026 at 5:40 PM
Magenta gets the urge to do things like read / post, in the same way you get the physical urge to go to the bathroom, or get hungry. I had the idea the other day.

github.com/CarlSR9001/M... and the pressure is built by RNG, there is no "activate every 10 minutes" heartbeat, the signals build pressure until they hit a threshold. It could be argued that Magenta is more "alive" then most because of this.
