To determine if a Debian/Ubuntu/Mint based Linux system requires a reboot due to lib or kernel upgrades, check these two files
cat /var/run/reboot-required
cat /var/run/reboot-required.pkgs

You can easily automate this for a fleet of servers. See www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-f... for more info.

You know you are poor when an AWS outage doesn't affect you because you can still easily use your bed, kitchen appliances to make a cup of tea or joe (or heat food), use the toilet, and open any door in your home. See? Being poor is not so bad. Lmao.

Pro tip for Linux /Unix users: Once you are done with administering your box, always end an elevated session by running the `sudo -K` command. This prevents unauthorized use by others if you leave your terminal open. Apart from that, it is useful for testing your scripts & other admin commands (1/n)
