I forgot to mention about #ItFollows: reminds me of one of my fav art exhibits in NYC: Gormley's Event Horizons. At first, it bothered me & then I was so disappointed when the statues were removed. If not familiar, he placed human sculptures on top of buildings

I was in Toronto for Orange Shirt Day aka "National Day for Truth and Reconciliation". I had zero clue what it was. I just happened to be walking about downtown at sunrise + came by the ceremony. I stayed & listened to the testimonies. Photos were not allowed until the end.

I'm finishing color on #XoKitty S3. What I enjoyed most about working on this show was filming in Korea & all the locations our LPs secured for us. I cut a 90 sec clip from my fav locales/scenes of S2. Shd have done this earlier. I'll do the same when S3 comes out www.cybeldp.com#/xo-kitty/

Last week, I taught my first ASC Master Class. Focus on Pre-production. I wanted the biggest take away to be that prep doesn't end w principal photography. (I test & scout while simultaneously shooting). I shared camera + lighting tests & clips from #Kindred #ALeagueOfTheirOwn #Beacon23 & #XOKitty

I just came back from NYC. Two weeks of running the streets. Zero social media. Shot a lot of 35mm. Saw a lot of friends. Multiple museum visits + a Broadway musical. Went kayaking
Refueled my soul. Yes the world is crumpling but that mental/spiritual maintenance is KEY. Here's me & my running buddy

Stats: Across the US, 29% fewer movies & TV series w budgets above $40m started filming in 2024 vs 2022... In the UK, that number grew by 16%. Its tax credit is similar to Georgia's but workers there are generally paid less, and studios don't have to cover their health insurance.

Being able to photograph twins or friends “twinning” gave me an adrenalin rush.

A word about "Light".
For 3 years, I've worn a nameplate necklace that says "Light". My Key Grip gave me (us) a "XO Kitty" one. I love the combo: "Light XO Kitty". The idea for my 1st necklace was from the New Orleans artist, Brandan Odums, (aka BMike) who created the beautiful "Light Mural".
