It works ok in cyanobacteria bit decreases a bit frequency of recombination whem compared to the same total homology (750bp each side)

It is expressed constitutively? For plastocyanin (which is also a blue copper protein) copper is added once you have biomass and induce expression of the protein for better yields

azurin is probably periplasmic. have you clone the leader peptide? it might be better to add copper once you have some biomass
