I don’t expect a perfect candidate within this capitalist society. But simply not appealing to Republicans, and not aiding and being complicit in genocide, is not perfection. It’s a basic standard, and the thought of holding candidates to any standard infuriates these people.

I don’t think they even realize how utterly anti-democratic it is to expect us to vote for a party’s candidates unconditionally, no matter how fucking awful they are, and to demand nothing from their candidates. Withholding votes is one of the only, if not only, powers voters have over politicians

Even if that’s technically legal, that’s still morally fucked up. Nobody in their late 30s should be dating someone under 20 at all, and people will rightfully judge you for that.
