“Nice country you have here, would be a shame anything to happen to you” type of guarantees?

To be noted though that it was not Architecture selling itself in these dubious mega projects, just a subset of practitioners, star-architects and/or their firms that often reach popular notoriety because of advertising of these crazy projects. It is unfortunate that only the extreme get visible…

Would be interesting to learn what this says about us - that we can more easily accept the existence of evil than indifference, although it is obvious majority of people also want comfort and to be bothered as little as possible by stranger’s problems.

I noticed how when there’s a bully that does something bad, most people safe and not directly suffering don’t get angered so much towards the aggressor but more often than not they do get annoyed by witnesses that did nothing. But the real suffering and the PTSD is triggered by the one attacking.

Not a solution to all ills but a fighting chance only if we give ourselves the tools of modern discourse -as opposed to this self inflicted acceptance that foreign entities with competing interests get to vote what we read and see in our own living rooms while mining our data for their dominance

The current media ecosystem is monitored mined and manipulated by private and corporate interests that used the accumulated power to influence and take over politics. The proposal here is to break from the bubble of “independent companies” pushing foreign agenda and start supporting local interests.

Meanwhile, considering all the front page news titles of this year, “Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money” sounds more like the title of a documentary than a SF parody.
