In 1977 I worked 6 months making roller bearings in the highest paying factory in SE Indiana. Quit and went to college. My only goal was to never go back.

Stephen Seiler once said something like you should mostly do zone 1/2, but if he could only do 4h/week, sure, he’d go harder, implying that it’s not necessarily better, but in a sense easier because it can be more fun.
