Yeah, I made about a half dozen practice socks to learn the technique and figure out the sizing before I even attempted one that I was going to wear 🤣 I started by using circular needles, but I've found that using a set of double pointeds makes it easier to keep the tension consistent

I learned to knit for the same reason, except with hats. Crocheted hats are doable, but I've never had any luck. It was about six months of making hats before I tried my hand at socks 🤣 They aren't so bad once you figure out which heel method you want to use, that's the hardest part
