I’m slowly painting up the @trenchcrusade.bsky.social plastic kit. This is the first one I’ve mostly finished. They’re a great size and fun to paint. I was originally going to go with a bright, clashing color scheme, but diverted into a dark, scratchy style. The head is from @statuesque.bsky.social

Medieval guards? Dark Olive on the boots.
Sci-fi terrain? Monitors get a coat of Dark Olive.
Green grass? Apply some Dark Olive on the dirt it grows out of.

There have been a few pretenders trying to be Charadon Granite, but if what @mengelminis.bsky.social is saying is true: the elusive king has been reborn as Army Painter’s Historical Dark Olive. I’ve searched for over a decade, and hoped against hope. I trust Tyler’s judgment and will buy this paint.

With the @northstarfigs.bsky.social Automaton painting contest finished up, I wanted to upload my entry here. This was the first online painting contest I entered, and if North Star has more contests, I’ll likely enter again. Next time, I’m not waiting until last minute - one day prior is too close!

Started a 3d print of a small medieval house. First “major” print. If it prints without issues, it’ll be used in Guards of Traitor’s Toll. If it doesn’t print great, it’ll still be perfect for a destroyed house in something like Mordheim, Five Leagues from the Borderlands, or Rangers of Shadow Deep.
