writer. if you take everything i've accomplished in my entire life and condense it down into one day ... it looks decent!
In hindsight I could say check to that QB draw that's so effective but it's abundantly clear they have no universal go-to when the information is this clear. They have enough time to fake a silent count and no changes? None??

Who do I blame now? Fran is showing good passing concepts, they're still running hero-ball man beaters, Jalen is missing a wide-open DeVonta, A.J. is dropping passes, A.J. Dillon is bringing a rabbit, Sirianni is using a call sheet, the broadcast is showing extra replays of missed Mailata holds...

Prime writing hours, and I wrote like a bum today.

Can the miss to DeVonta symbolize these hitches are a Jalen thing? It's extrapolating an entire philosophy from one play and shows their lack of having universal concepts on certain looks but Jalen wasted no time throwing that.

I get the point of this but I haven't heard someone say a coward's draw on 3rd and 10 is anyone but Nick's decision. Nick wants to throw the ball a million times and they're running on first down and second and long.

Could this be a timing thing? Seems Fred Johnson stabilizes the moment Saquon hops outside. Looks like there's a lane there.

What's the best way to go about defeating five-man fronts? I feel like I can reason my way toward it but this offense has me so confused the only answer I can think of is more hitches.

I don't have TikTok so these threads are incredibly illuminating!

Ultimately I understand. We want to see ourselves as good people and reinforce our goodness in stories. "I would act a certain way against any evil no matter the consequences or baggage or trauma or personality traits affecting my decisions so ALL characters should do the exact same."

To give R.F. Kuang credit, she nailed it in Yellowface when she had scenes where the writer added the "reader" because then they seem themselves in it.

Their relationship is beyond anything other than fail cycles and conflict. They wouldn't agree even on the color of the sky to the point I ended up skipping most of their dialogue by the end of the series.

But I do agree with comments regarding the loving connections between characters because everything is a fail cycle. Conflict drives the story but I don't need a fail cycle every scene. I think of Poppy War most often with that between Rin and Nezha.

I never put myself into characters. If anything, the times I do I think, dang would I have even done what this character did? Everyone wants to believe they are the one who runs toward the fire.

I get escapism but oftentimes I read these comments about people faltering in big moments and how it's "unrealistic" or why we can't get characters interacting in ways without conflict (I will get to that) and I think, it's almost like it's intentional.

This is a great thread and proves that it's all a crapshoot and 20 rejections should be your minimum benchmark for submissions!
