Introduced in Second Shoot, the cunning and tenacious Angela Harrow is called in to help Dan with cleanup after the end of the first book. Her presence raises questions for Ry about the true nature of her and Dan's partnership - and how their overall goals will affect the people he cares about.

Rounding out our Book 1 cast is Mason Miller, professional and yet detached studio mainstay. Though he appears to be put-together in the surface, Mason carries deep scars, and it is only so long before they work their way to the surface.

Of all this, two points stick out to me - this, and that round of layoffs last year. I’m starting to wonder if the plan was always to downsize BioWare, even as early as last year.

Gabe Whitner might be charming and charismatic, but behind his facade lurk cruel designs. Navigating Gabe’s protection by the system to deal with him will force Dan and Ry to use unconventional means - means that take them to dark places.
