I'm old enough to remember when web search was non existent, then it was awful, then it became amazing, and then awful again.
Paying for search still feels weird, but it does feel amazing again now. Better paying with money than with my data and attention.

It feels backwards paying for search, but it's such an improved experience. Well worth it for those who can afford it.
