I always loved FF2, so seeing Firion's look come to life in Dissidia was so awesome. Like all the weapons throughout his body... Way cooler than a red mage or a freelancer... He's a rebel 😍

I would have to say FFX. You really get to learn about the world alongside Tidus, you see legit character development, and it's a tragic love story like... Any story that gets me emotionally invested is ace 💗💗

Most recently it's Nektar the moogle from FF16! Basically the only moogle you meet. He runs the hunt board. He's a major cutie with a lot to say :--)

Final Fantasy Dimensions! It's only on phones (ugh I know), in an episodic structure - but it's a full, literal, final fantasy experience. World map, large cast of party members, and a legit job system!! Ironically the sequel for this is a flop... lol!

I like "Alexander" as a summon! I'm for the idea of like conjuring a house castle whenever you need lol (comfort and power), but what I really miss is the "protect" spell, especially since it got patched out of FFXIV. Im fragile and I need the extra protection 😅

I want to say Lady Yunalesca in FFX, but I hate her lol. I guess my fav is Titan EX from FFXIV. I look back on it fondly because at the time, it was so hard and I also play(ed) with my best friend on a 16 hour time difference. I would literally fall asleep playing lol.

Yuna from Final Fantasy X! It was just cool going around and collecting summons. And her's acted more like party members vs just a crazy powerful attack.

Y'shtola from Final Fantasy 14! She's part of the main party from day 1 and she never lets you down and has continued to be a huge help throughout all of the expansions so far. She's literally a black mage I've been around for almost a decade now!

It would be Refia from Final Fantasy 3, specifically in the opening FMV for the DS version of the game. I remember rewatching that video multiple times a day as a kid, and for some reason, the scene where Refia heals Ingus has always stayed with me.

All dragoons are bad asses. Estinien from Final Fantasy 14 is mad cool. He's kinda this douche bag obsessed with killing dragons but then he realizes that they're not really the enemy and he ends up becoming a core and current team member!

This is tough. I would say Dragoon but I have to give it up to Summoner. I just think it's neat to have some kind of battle guardian/companion.

I think a good battle system should be enjoyable for both quick and long battles. To me, Final Fantasy 12's gambit system fits the bill. Plus, even if gambits are off, you could still pause and give out specific orders to your party, kinda like traditional ATB systems.

SPOILERS (for a decades old game).

The end of FFX, specifically when Tidus starts to fade away and Yuna runs after him. The moment when Yuna falls through him, and she's on the ground with her eyes open, letting their reality set in.. it's instant tears every time 😢😢😢

I'm glad to see more folks mention it! Dresspheres from Final Fantasy X-2 are the best. Unique looks for each character! Plus, changing classes in the middle of battle is SO next level vs having a main/sub class or to use cross class abilities.

Hands down it's Anabella Rosfield!
They did a great job creating her, like, she truly is the most realistically infuriating person. I think as a poc and queer person, seeing a character so blatantly ignorant is just so much more painful!!!

Do these guys count? It's Leblanc, Logos, and Ormi from FFX2!!!
I'm always a fan of "bad guys" who, at the end of the day, don't want the world to end - like chill! It was great to see them help YRP in the end. And the baddie singing at the start of FFX2.. spoiler sis... 😘

This was hard! As of right now, Lightning from FF13 is my fav protag!
I was legit such a FF13 hater, but I grew to love the story, music, and the characters.
And Lightning is actually so interesting! She's a tough baddie who legit grows AND gets 2 more games? Icon.

I have to say FF15 disappointed me the most. It's a shame because I like the idea of like brotherhood and growth but the world felt so empty and combat felt like a button smash.
I did enjoy that weird standalone multiplayer mode. And Gladio can always get it 😍😍😍

FF4 on DS has to be a fav!
At the time, I was so gagged to have a portable game, in 3D, with voice acting! It was a great Xmas gift!
It's such a solid story of redemption and forgiveness, a true classic! If it were a book, it would be taught in schools!

Day 1: First Final Fantasy
FF1 ported on GBA alongside FF2 as, "Dawn of Souls", was my first!
I vividly remember the Star Wars style summary after "killing" Garland.. I thought I got scammed into buying an hour long game!
