Annnddd... Chapter 8 (of 10) in Susquehanna is complete, 1st draft. It's been a while since I hit my stride like this.
Impossible to know for sure until I hear back from crit readers, but I think Chapter 8 (and 9) might have some of the biggest HoLyCrAp!! moments I've ever written.

Hey, Dante, can you add another circle of hell for cafes whose "cold brew" is just iced coffee with an upcharge? That stuff's watered down. If I order cold brew, I want that caffeine hitting me like I'm Batman's parents in an alley.
