I the spirit of work life balance, I’d like to share some happy “life” moments. I had a lovely (much needed) weekend away with my partner at our friends wedding. This meant Rosie also got a sleep over with her BFF. Photos I will cherish 🥰

One of the most important slides in my group presentation today involved a lighthearted lesson in “doggo”. Any excuse to fit Rosie into my slides 😂

🔬 Researcher & Science Communicator: I’m a genetic counselor and researcher, with a PhD focused on translating polygenic risk scores into clinical settings (with a focus on melanoma). My favorite part of research is creating engaging narratives that bring science to life and resonates with people!

🏃‍♀️ Amateur Runner: I’ve run 4 half marathons and am training for my first full marathon in 2025! Running has become my moving meditation, a way to clear my mind, focus, and find a rhythm outside of work. The journey to that first full marathon is on, and I’m excited to share along the way!

🎨 Aspiring Artist: I love playing with art! I do abstract landscapes on canvas and recently fell in love with using modeling paste for texture. I also dabble in illustration and am currently working on a children’s book inspired by Rosie’s adventures!

🐾 Dog Mum First: Rosie, is my fluffy, goofy sidekick, and my constant source of joy. She’s got household security on lock and doubles as my personal trainer, getting me out for two daily walks and a few weekly runs. She’s is crazy photogenic (am I biased?), so I’ll be sharing her here!
