I love the idea of him running for president. But I read an article recently that a sheriff I believe, republican, is planning on running against him for governor in 2026. The thought of IL being ran by a republican is just nauseating to think about.

Any response to the hearing that Mayor Johnson is having right now with DC about Chicago being a sanctuary city? Watching on C-SPAN and it looks pretty rough for the mayors. Even being threatened with jail time for violating federal law.

I think they are also scared of retribution from Trump and Musk in primaries so they will not dare go against him. He has people scared, or brainwashed into supporting him.
