Broad-leaved Helleborine again, (Epipactis helleborine)

Small-flowered Geranium, Geranium pusillum. Small, pale pink/violet flowers, shallow notch. This one has petals 2.5mm long. 5 stamens have anthers. Pedicels have short, glandless erect hairs. Sepals hairy. Cotswold Gliding Club car park. @bsbibotany.bsky.social @wildflowerhour.bsky.social

Autumn hawkbit (Scorzoneroides autumnalis). Involucre tapers into stem. Bracts overlap. Underside of some ray florets tinged red. Stem hairless but with scales on stem. Leaves narrow, deeply lobed with sharp points. @bsbi @wildflowerhour @bsbibotany.bsky.social @wildflowerhour.bsky.social

Black Knapweed (Centauria nigra, left) has less divided leaves than Greater Knapweed (Centaurea scabiosa, right). The latter has more showy flowers. There is a slight difference in the bract covered area below the purple area (C. nigra is slightly more flask shaped, C. scabiosa more globular).

So this was taken at Batsford Arboretum & the info board said Common Spotted orchids were there but now I have looked closer it looks more like Heath Spotted Orchid. Any ideas? @bsbibotany.bsky.social
