Missing from this debate is the difficulty of finding *authentic* pro-life Dems. I'm okay running a truly pro-life Dem in Missouri, I just think it's a lot harder to find one today. Instead, you'll find a Missouri Dem who tries to say pro-life things, it comes off as fake, and no one is satisfied.

I mean, I sort of agree that ‘entire suburbs’ is an exaggeration, but at the same time, you have a suburban SLC doctor who sold 1,900 fake vaccine cards during the pandemic. That’s not a small number of antivaxxers.

Recently rediscovered a pair of undergrad papers I wrote around the same time that basically said, "Justices are just Republicans doing politics, not law." Quite proud of my younger self. I think accepting that reality before entering law school served me well once there.

Honestly, same thing with Obama—his memoir is basically about how he spends ‘09 saving Wall Street, and spends ‘10 utterly baffled by how deeply Wall Street hates him for it.
