In spite of me, I have 2 cattleya orchids blooming wildly.

Thank you to our most precious veterans for your service.
Three Buddhist temples on Kauai, Lihue, West Kauai and Kapa'a Hongwanji temples, decorated the Veterans Cemetery on Kauai with flowers & greenery so there would be no "Lonesome Graves" without decorations.

I do love a good story of irony and hypocrisy. Nothing leaves the internet and so very often returns to bite people in the end.
Thank you to George Takei for sharing this on FB.

If you aren't already worried about where our country is headed, read this book. It explains why the evangelicals were/are so ripe for conspiracy and for someone as egregious as an authoritarian Trump.
To leave the Trump cult would require taking on self-responsibility & giving up demons.

Good reference. Nothing satisfies the mouse (or the moose) and it's always more and more and bigger and bigger.

I found this on FB. Good advice.

Research shows this is true but they also describe legal proceedings occurring before deportation. Nothing legal actually seems to be happening.

I had to Google to see the South Park character. Seems right on to me. Unfortunately, Trump cares more for loyalty & appearance than substance. They can be dumb as a rock but as long as they look good they are hired . . Noem, Hegseth, Bondi.

Wonderful book to help me understand the "magnetic" appeal of QAnon and all other wildly erroneous conspiracy theories. People are looking for guidance, validation, belonging and want someone else to "make sense" of a changing world. Trump's braggart announcement "only I can fix it" pulls them in.

Good read as if he was writing now instead of the 90's.

This is proof that Trump has never grown up. He never is observed to laugh and certainly not at himself. That would take intelligent introspection.

One of my favorite pictures.

I brought one branch of my oncidium orchid inside so I could enjoy it in my small vase. They grow in spite of me. ☺️

My absolute favorite protest sign from Greenland. Creative and sends a distinct message.
Hands off Greenland Trump!

Precisely. AI defines snowflake as "someone perceived as overly sensitive, easily offended, or having an inflated sense of uniqueness; unable to handle criticism or opposing opinions without becoming emotionally distraught.
This picture should be used from your posts.

According to the 2020 U.S. Census, the population of Wesrcliffe was 435. It lies between Salida and Canyon City in southern Colorado.
They had 55 people protesting in the snow. Hurray for Westcliffe!!!

Kauai may be a small island in the Pacific but we are not quiet. Wonderful rally today. One sign says "I've seen better cabinets at IKEA." The gentleman with the ukulele is from NY. He and his wife took time from their vacation to join in.

I stole this from Facebook. I'm not in favor of vandalism or violence, but this is rather funny.

Gulf of Mexico. Always, regardless of Trump's little naming tantrum.

Mt. Denali. Always, regardless of Trump's little naming tantrum.
