But—and this is really the thing that kills me about this sort of discourse—the fact that her first desire is not to fix the problem now that it is here, but rather to be let off the hook for helping cause it ... this is what shows me the motives were bad from the start. bsky.app/profile/bubb...
i really, really need people to understand that they *didn't* vote for this, no matter how much you insist they did. insisting "they voted for this" elides the information environment that led them to vote the way they did in the first place, the thing that actually needs fixing.
