You know what I just thought of?

The Segway.

It was going to transform society and transportation and be the biggest thing ever etc etc. And it has its uses and the tech is not bad and it works but….

Anyway. Just an analogy I thought of for no reason.

The flight shutdown seems important.

Also the Senate is not in session this week (Veteran’s Day etc), is next week, then off the following (Tgiving).

If the Ds wanted to cave/give SNAP out for Thanksgiving and allow for poss House back and forth they had to do something now.

Just a thought.

Dick Durbin was 15 or so when Hawaii became a state. The guy is 80 years old. He was 20 when the Civil Rights Act passed.

I mean….can we please move on from the gerontocracy?

The main reason she’s a Senate candidate now is she stood up and drew a line against BS years ago.

Many current candidates seem much more willing to fight than before.

If nothing else Trump showed people that being seen as a fighter is appealing to a lot of voters and engenders loyalty.

For people who hate “government handouts”, the Republicans sure like collecting pay for not working.

There are few politicians

More foolishly optimistic about their chances

Than women who run for President as Republicans

If she cared so much about prices then she’d be happy the corporation-protection candidates lost.

I listened to an interview with him and I think he’s got a lot of juice. Talking in a real way about real problems.

Left me feeling like he’s got a good shot. More real vibes, please.
