Zero subsidies? Even the original subsidies provided by the ACA (which is still law)? Or is this bill only dropping the subsidies added in 2021 budget reconciliation? (This added subsidies to the original law and broadened eligibility to those earning up to 400% of the original threshold.)

Indeed a sordid tale. The whole thing stinks. Including the basis for the warrant, and how that came about. The magistrate was cleared afterwards, but seems odd to me at any rate.

The “enhanced” tax credits that came about during the pandemic were created under a budget reconciliation, not appropriations law, and had to have an expiration. That was a compromise Dems made to get it through. Fetterman makes it sound like a built in bomb. That’s reconciliation baggage.
