So, I'm British, and many of our traditional foods are stodgy carbs filled with more carbs, but mushy peas are a crime.

Granted, I dislike peas in any form, but *why* would you mash them into some grim lumpy paste that will inevitably be lukewarm by the time you eat it?
what's a traditional food of your people/culture that everyone else seems to love that you absolutely cannot stand?

for me it is vada pav. Vada is incredible, pav is fantastic, in combination they cancel each other out and become a black hole of anti-taste

While I am slightly sad to have left the birdsite just as I had found a community, I am looking forward to finding even more wonderful writers.
