Dinner is something I rarely discuss ... but this was really different. I like to keep my cooking skills polished even though I presently live alone . . . I hope to have housemates again when things settle. Here are drumsticks made with jackfruit and rice paper, dipped and air fried. Exceptional.

Stella came to dinner still wet and totally disoriented. She, it seems, had forgotten how to eat, or didn't feel hunger. I gave her Mirtazapine and on the third day, she ate. Trudy, the colony's dog, hovered over Stella and guarded her. The friendship was a tight one until Trudy's death. 2/2

Colony cat, Stella (Ma Bella) was a victim of traumatic brain injury. A loose dog chased her into the lake where she nearly drowned. She was rescued by her family — her mother, Blaze, and her sisters PJ, and Darla. 1/2

I wouldn't want there to be a "cure" for autism. It's a gift, but it's awfully damned hard to cope with it sometimes in this malevolent and cruel world. The world needs fixing, not me.
