Just reporting it. Unlike others on my side, I take no delight in people losing money. The laughter at Tesla sales, the "you deserve it" taunts—an anathema to liberal values. So is torching cars and vandalism. The left is supposed to be better than that. So much for the moral high ground.

Frustrating liberals has long been a right-wing reaction to cultural change. They see us as weak, feckless enemies of Western culture, once "bleeding hearts." Trump makes our heads spin, and they love it. So I stay calm and detached. I can’t control him, but I can control my reaction.

I could not, and I still cannot stand the way the political left demonized her for what should be a noncontroversial remark. It's all peace and love, until it's what the left hates, then it's a call for censorship, and even bloodshed (think Luigi) making them indistinguishable from the right wing.
