F1 fan. Mother of 2 but one is a cat!
The Hove Margo Leadbetter.
It makes no sense. And explains the insanely long waiting lists.

Can’t prescribe without a diagnosis. At one point he had 4 psychiatrists on 4 ‘pathways’. But he just had the one brain. 🤦🏻‍♀️

In a way it makes very little difference as he already had the autism diagnosis. But 3 different psychiatrists have told him he clearly has ADHD but they aren’t allowed to diagnose him. That said current psychiatrist says he would benefit from a particular medication but she can’t prescribe.

Not formally diagnosed with ADHD because after waiting 12 years for his autism diagnosis, they would only diagnose autism or ADHD at the time. Not both. Absurd as a high percentage of people have both. 🙄

It’s a funny thing. My son is autistic, dyslexic and hypermobile EDS. He has assistive technology at uni. Like note taking software for lectures. Handwriting is out. He was offered text to speech software for reading. He can’t focus. Likely because of ADHD.

Yes! My mum had audio books on CD after she had eye surgery. They kept her sane.

I can’t focus on podcasts. I also can’t focus on audio books.

Menopause brain fog always means that when anything I ordered has been delivered, it’s a surprise to me as I never remember ordering!

It could be a lot worse to be fair.

Correct. I am complex (weird).

Yes they’d be so bewildered to lose their human.

Not at all. I love that you still think of them and talk about them. Even the longest life for cats isn’t enough. The only comfort is that it’s better for us to lose them than for them to lose us.

Max sounds like he was a character. Stella is a hunter too. They always stay in our hearts after they are gone.
December 29, 2025 at 9:38 PM
They know exactly what they are doing. My son (also Max) just reminded of the time I picked up a dead bird Stella had brought in, thinking it was a toy. 🤢

You’d still be deciding whether to have some at 15 sweets.
