The long awaited Curriculum Review is out today. There is a general aspiration to increase environment and climate change across the board but there are no specifics and no mention of the Natural History GCSE.

This is a wasted opportunity to move the agenda forwards.

The brilliant David Padmore is taking on the ultimate challenge and will be tackling the Winter Spine Race in January 2026 to raise funds for Curlew Action!

David will be running from Edale to Kirk Yetholm, over the Pennine Way, 268-miles unassisted.

We were sent this lovely video from Andy Moore on a trip to the Humber Bridge Garden Centre which came with a view of these Curlews feeding!

There were so many beautiful pieces of art to marvel at, but of course we had to highlight some amazing Curlew art!

Today (date), the Slender-billed Curlew was declared extinct. The first bird extinction on mainland Europe in 500 years — on our watch. Extinction is final. No going back. Think about that.
