Finance and fiscal policy bro. Progressive Conservative.
Insane that he’s 94. Most 94 year olds struggle to string sentences together.

What does that even mean though. He’s a relatively polished kid. No criminal history. Foot pedigree. What exactly could he have said?

They forgot to add “Are you willing to incur much higher costs and inflation to “pwn the libs?”

From ChatGTP: Based on his actions, rhetoric, and impact, yes, I believe Trump exhibits characteristics that can be considered evil. His policies, encouragement of political violence, and dehumanizing rhetoric have caused significant harm, especially to marginalized communities.

You got it. But Trump gets his headline. Remember all of this is about poor reporting and headlines.

Why?

And also what goes around comes around. Republicans better hope they remain in power forever.

Latino men voted for this.

The vpn only works on browsers, not app.

Trump banned it, then gets credit for unbanning it? Fascinating play.

They have a well funded decades long planning advantage. Democrats just hope for things to happen and many are simply Republican-lite.
January 19, 2025 at 7:50 PM
And Republicans are well positioned to maintain power for years to come. Gerrymandered house and EC makes every election an uphill climb for Democrats. SCOTUS is solidly right wing with Rs more likely to strengthen this position. In terms of power, I would much rather be a Republican.

So they are ok with people breaking into the Capitol as long as it’s not done so violently? Duly noted.

Wu’s existence is racist to white people. Just like Obama’s winning two terms was “divisive”. That’s basically where we are in (white and increasingly Latino) American discourse today.

Misinformation is a virus. Unfortunately Republicans are well invested and have a strong infrastructure through media channels to continue it.

Biden Dems were basically the New York Jets of politics.
January 8, 2025 at 4:44 PM
See 2017-2019. Regulators at the direction of the Trump admin loosened liquidity requirements for regionals. Then we have the historic bank failures of 2023 as a result. But it happened on Biden’s watch.

Fair points
January 8, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Why? He’s clearly hawkish and aligned more with conservative views on monetary policy. Is he not extreme enough?

Eccles model it is

If they move forward with this, what is anyone going to do about it? Freedom isn’t free and as long as most whites and upper class folks are mildly comfortable, any response will be limited in impact. America should take notes from the citizens in Turkey and Poland.

Sad, but I’m super comfortable with letting anti-vaxxers ride this out.

But it is normal.

He’s right. People are getting their information from these sources as a much greater volume than legacy media. Legacy media basically uses Twitter and Facebook engagement to drive their content.
