Almost 15 years of austerity by previous governments but what was the BMA doing during this time to prevent doctors salaries being eroded so much? Why were the BMA so ineffective then? Strike action now by doctors will not be popular and they will lose public support.

Difficult juggling everything whilst also trying to help your wife. Fingers crossed her recovery this time will be easier, just needs some time!
