I have nothing against Kamala Harris, but democrats need to read the tea leaves.

I really appreciate your honest response. While I personally feel universally accepted, inclusion in competitive sports is extremely important, I understand that getting to that point is going to take input from many communities. As an Albertan, I want that space for debate and challenge to exist.

Do you agree with the AB government's use of the notwithstanding clause to erase the charter rights of trans people and their ability to appeal to the courts?
December 17, 2025 at 1:44 PM
Dodged that bullet.

How about Alberta NDP?

Maybe see if you can get him to help you steal the plans so the
resistance can analyze them to see if a weakness can be found?

I read that on CGN, none of it surprised anyone.

Though few agree, I think political reality is much more mundane and likely had to with other policy and career issues. Crime reduction and gun control are splinter issues, folks generally just go with the party flow. If anyone gave a crap about crime, they would channel resources to mental health.

While my country is under attack from the Trump Tariffs, I have emotionally moved from anger to pity. Pity on a fellow who should be playing golf and not playing a puppet for extremists and pity for the US as the rest of the world jumps into the void that has been created. Good luck America.

As an Albertan who loves Canada, I feel the Smith/Carney MOA has shown we can move forward unified - if we compromise. Walking the prohibition back into a grandfathering and then studying the possibility of provincial firerams regulation could be a compromise between Quebec and rural Canadians.
December 12, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Regardless of if one agrees that we should risk investing in our infrastructure and the military to maintain sovereignty, it is pretty clear he will make concessions like he did with AB to build unity. I bet he regularly curses being saddled with the gun grab by, as Gary A says, Quebec Liberals.

While I disagree with 95% of what Rebel News posts... that supports your point. Moderate hunters and sport shooters are being driven to one issue voting. There is a reason the right wing media have embraced this policy and that Carney rarely mentions it - Gary Anandasangaree knows what's up.

Leave it to MAGA to try and make being a rat cool.
December 11, 2025 at 1:34 AM
Crunch the buyback numbers and look up the crime gun statistics, my friend. There is a reason only 2-3 police services are willing to participate in this. Even if you are in favour of more gun control, this is bad policy.
December 10, 2025 at 8:21 PM
Also... have you ever shot an SKS and tried to quickly load the 5 round stripper clip? They have military origins and are a semi, but loading one is a pain in the butt. If people are using this for crime, it is because they are poor.
December 10, 2025 at 8:07 PM
I never said the SKS has never been used for tragic and hateful actions - we can provide examples of any popular firearm that has been used for criminal activity? Can you elaborate on the role and prevalence of the SKS in Northern communities and what the primary use of the SKS is in the North?
December 10, 2025 at 7:59 PM
Are you saying the GSG .22s banned are designed to kill as many people as possible as quickly as possible? Are you saying the SKS they are trying to add is not a hunting rifle used by indigenous communities? Chomsky would know these details before making sweeping endorsements of policy.

Man, do you have to spam unrelated content under news articles, lol.

Better to be safe than sorry! My pup Tikka likes to lure people in, then snap at them when they least expect it. Has gotten much less over time, but every now and then, something will make her afraid.

I am just posting to let the world know I have a rescue dog that can't be around children.

Look up the recorded comments made by Gary A, the safety minister responsible for implimentation, talking to his tennant. You get a pretty good overview of why the current legislation is running around in circles.

Damage done. The new alliances with the EU and trade deals our government in Canada are making will not disappear once the present regime falls. Not to say we will not welcome future collaboration, but it will take generations before the world views the US as a stable democracy again.

That commentator misses the big picture thinking the major issue is the laws, Runkle talks about how we already have a form of castle doctrine. The issue is enforcement and revictimizing the person acting in self-defense, having them defend their actions in a criminal trial. Smith seems to get this.

Forgotten... or ignored by the Trump administration?

Guess it comes down to what the pilot was supposed to test? Was it just the logistics, or was it also testing the compliance rate?
