Probably the Bear you're looking for, but not that kind of bear. Lawyer and writer living in Paris.
Unfortunately after more than 17 years with our sweetest Cloud it is almost time to say goodbye. He is so grateful to have so many friends all over the world and sends his love to all of you and all your furry pals.

I do enjoy how this phrasing leaves open the possibility that he was the ONLY American the French loved.

Pro: everyone at the French tax office was very nice to me and I somehow had every piece of paper they wanted (at least a mid-sized miracle); con : not sure I actually accomplished either of my goals for that appointment but at least one of them might be in process ?

I do have a belated hot take about yesterday's news which is that marrying one's rebound guy from Cleveland Heights is an excellent life choice I entirely endorse and I hope it works out as well for her as it did for me.

Turns out that a federal jury will NOT indict a ham sandwich (thrower).
Federal prosecutors on Tuesday were unable to secure a felony assault indictment against a man who threw a sandwich at a federal agent on the streets of Washington this month, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Today I was able to attend by livestream the funeral services for a cousin who passed away suddenly last week, and his brother gave a lovely eulogy, but what's really sticking with me is that we heard the most countrified Amazing Grace anyone has ever heard. Country AND Western. Amazing, indeed.

American visitors to Paris are often flummoxed by the attached plastic bottle caps but having just sent a water bottle cap flying down an NYC sidewalk I really think we're on to something.
