Just some 25 year old who can’t get enough of talking about movies.
#NowWatching Irreversible

My god, that intro. The cameraman should take a chill pill.

It was alright. An interesting premise that, unfortunately, the movie doesn't explore enough. I wish we could've gotten more scenes of them watching these "actors". That was by far the best part of the movie.

Checking out Taxi Driver tonight, which I believe is my first Scorsese viewing.

#JustWatched Don't Move (2024)

This was a frustrating watch. It had all the elements of a fun thriller, but I found it full of hits and misses. As soon as the movie does something interesting, it falls back to relying on the tropes of a generic thriller.

What a beautiful film. It is not without its issues, but man did this hit hard. From the second half onward, I was uncontrollably crying until the end of the credits. Powerful, moving, touching.

How did they get Mark Strong and Eva Green in this slogfest? It just drags on and on with no hint of subtlety, all while tacking on a social message at the end. While that in itself isn't an issue, it just shoves the themes right at your face.

Idk man..the huge tick was cool ig

The characters were all so believable and well-acted, the atmosphere suffocating but mesmerizing, and the story paced so well I could honestly watch another two hours. It was so dense with its 2 hour runtime that it just flew by.

#JustWatched MadS

What an unrelenting and bloody masterpiece. Shooting it in one take adds to the claustrophobic and grounded experience, and allows the movie to build tension from the first minute. It just never lets up until the credits rolled.

#JustWatched 28 Days Later

What a spectacular, gritty, heartfelt movie. It had everything that I was looking for in a zombie movie executed to perfection.

Plus, having the Ninth Doctor in it bumps it up by a lot.

Although the rest of it is pretty forgettable and going through an adventure we've all seen before, the whole movie hinges on that third act fight and it absolutely delivers. I'm still not sold on Chris Hemsworth as Optimus Prime though.

Just watched In The Mouth of Madness. What a movie. The build-up was interesting. The pay-off... oh man, it was so trippy, but weirdly fun to watch. Still processing but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I might not have the proper context to enjoy Enys Men. I read that it's best described as a Cornish folk horror, so that may explain how some of it may be lost to me as I know nothing about Cornwall.

It felt so surreal watching this though, like a fever dream put into movie form.

It is rare for a movie as simple as this to elicit a profound emotional response within me. I cannot fault a movie with no dialogue and a cat as the protagonist to not have as deep a plot as other movies. Instead, it takes advantage of it and allows the stunning, watercolor-like animation to shine.

Just finished American Psycho. Christian Bale was an absolute delight in this.

POOR THINGS (2023) — This absurd fantasy was brilliantly crafted, depicting feminist themes with enough subtlety that avoids imposing, and instead invites viewers to reflect upon it. While the story is horrifying with context, the film ultimately feels oddly uplifting. 5/5

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you.

Who is coming to save you?

I'm absolutely fcked 🤣
