Too liberal for the right, too conservative for the left.

Fiscally conservative, socially liberal, pro Ukraine and Democracy. Don’t come at me with your partisan BS. All politicians are liars, but some are doing useful things.
What do you think will trigger the next run in rates? War in the Middle East sending oil over 140?

Long Canadian Real estate, short Canadian Dollar and economy.
March 26, 2025 at 10:52 PM
Isn’t Alberta the richest per capita Province in Canada with some of the most affordable housing? While also paying some of the lowest taxes?
March 25, 2025 at 7:36 PM
Bullish immigration numbers and housing prices. Bearish economic growth, resource development and prosperity of younger generations in Canada.
March 25, 2025 at 4:51 PM
If Libs get another majority I’m going full on high leverage on real estate. If majority of the Canadian voters don’t care about the economy, affordability, or economic future of young people in their country, might as well make the money from this. Immigration and RE prices are about to explode.
March 25, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Oh boy. US has MAGA imbeciles and Canada has delusional liberal boomers. Truly hope your kids, wife and relatives don’t have to listen to your paranoia and mush brain thoughts…
March 25, 2025 at 2:27 AM
You clearly have no principles when it comes to “your” guy. Let me guess, you are also okay with Carney not disclosing his financial interests and conflicts even though he run a giant investment firm and wasn’t a resident of Canada for the last 10 years?
March 25, 2025 at 2:09 AM
Trump skipped republican debates in the US and was called out for it by media and reasonable people. Carney skipping a debate deserves the same treatment. He is weak in French and that’s the reason he wants to skip it. Not because of 75k or any other stupid reason partisan idiots parrot around.
March 25, 2025 at 1:48 AM
People went to the World Cup in Russia in 2018… There is no morality in this world unfortunately.
March 25, 2025 at 1:40 AM
Trump not participating in the debates - fairly described as someone who doesn’t respect democracy. Carney decides to skip debate - smart choice and let’s criticize his opponents instead. Enough partisan BS and let’s call out shitty behaviour when it happens no matter who is doing it.
March 25, 2025 at 1:19 AM
Nah. Find better excuse. This one is too stupid.
No one would ever believe Trudeau/Carney Liberals are capable of even spelling fiscal responsibility.
March 24, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Didn’t your guy just backed out of the French debate?
March 24, 2025 at 11:35 PM
What party do you think the majority of current and reservist CAF members are voting for?
March 24, 2025 at 3:05 PM
Most likely over 50% of young men (under 35) are in that category. Exactly the ones that Canada would need most in case of invasion. Young people and especially young men don’t see an economic future for themselves and their families and would not fight to keep the status quo.
March 24, 2025 at 2:55 PM
Will be great for Boomers and RE investors, but under 35s will be screwed again. With unaffordable housing, weakening jobs market, stagnating economy, no wage growth and lack of opportunities I do not understand how younger people or boomers who care about their kids want more of the last decade.
March 24, 2025 at 2:45 PM
If only we had a technology pioneered after Second World War that can help us to decarbonize on industrial scale within 1-2 decades with successful examples of countries running it to this day….
March 24, 2025 at 2:40 PM
Bring on triple digits spot!
March 19, 2025 at 7:57 PM
I would suggest reading conservative party platform and proposals and try to think how it will benefit you financially. That's how majority of the boomers vote. And that's why LPC main voter base is boomers. Sadly, until you start doing the same, you will be losing financially.
March 19, 2025 at 1:28 AM
What are some of the policies do you fear Conservatives will introduce that would be radical or MAGA adjacent?
March 19, 2025 at 1:20 AM
PS: I am talking about Canada, where our federal Conservative are equivalent to Democrats in the US.

MAGA is absolutely crazy and insane.
March 19, 2025 at 1:12 AM
Lower low skill immigration and lower taxes leads to higher salaries (see US vs Canada disparity, supply vs demand of labour). Economic growth is generally great for everyone, but especially younger people who have more career opportunities. Local anti-NIMBY governments increase supply of housing.
March 19, 2025 at 1:10 AM
Strong men and women want an easier life for the next generation, just as the Silent Generation did for the Boomers. Weak people want the next generation to struggle simply because they had it tough themselves—that, unfortunately, describes many Boomers today. Don't be like majority of the boomers.
March 19, 2025 at 1:07 AM
That's BS. Let's get housing back to 2x-4x average household income, university costs (with room and board) back into "summer job" earnings range, adjust minimal wage for inflation and than we talk. Otherwise don't comment on things you don't know or understand.
March 19, 2025 at 12:45 AM
Control 74T after 84T Wealth Transfer? So we are just accepting that inheritance will be the only way how GenZ gets to build wealth...? We really need to pop this real estate bubble, tax wealth above certain threshold and lower taxes on anyone making less than 150k a year.
March 19, 2025 at 12:41 AM
Amazing, but still ways to go. Below 115 he gets margin called and has to sell stock to cover his loans.
