If I may say so, Muhammad s.a. freed the slaves he 'acquired' through marriage at the age of 25. He clearly considered it 'wrong' in and of itself. Islam only permits depriving those people of their freedom who were going to do it to you. It's just as killing murderers and would be murders is just.

Your point is valid e.g. wrt to pronouns (hum). One view is that the Khalifas of Allah i.e. Prophets among the descendants of Adam a.s. are the ones he named, the subject matter in Q 2.30 being the appointment of a Khalifa. Some even say he is Muhammad s.a., with Adam a.s. being the first Khalifa.

Interesting article, Prof. کتمان (the act of concealing or suppressing) need not be deliberate. So, I have heard it suggested that the angels were simply unable to express some Divine attributes which were manifested by Adam a.s., and these were the names which he a.s. knew, and the angels didn't.
