Maybe not in progress but of progress

The ignorance of that statement makes me wonder. Does this person have heard of sacred geometry?
The AI religion has many problems one of them is their lunar concept of time which is tightly coupled with their believe in progress.

coming to terms with collapsing cycles helps i guess books like - hospicing modernity show some ideas. there are also still cultures alive (thank you) which have a lot of insights into the cyclical nature of reality. lots of things to learn.

currently it seems the zeitgeist tries very hard to run away from its - natural - demise cycle- just to accelerate its fate by doing so.

the current perception of what it is what we are doing - zeitgeist. it has serious troubles. materialistic science based worldview only gets you so far. there are cycles in nature , also in us.

let’s say human being have a desire to expand or grow. that wording alone is not helpful. because i think a desire to develop that’s fits better. so we have a desire to develop but what if we could find all the answers only by looking inside? and all this outside activity is just a cope mechanism?
October 31, 2025 at 8:26 PM
yes i think so, even if we build giant things in space. like dyson spheres. as a civilisation we have very much immature relationships with our desires.

i have been inside one (greifswald) but it’s not only tech itself it’s the humans managing it and so on.
it’s part of this pattern that we should simply increase energy consumption no matter what.
October 31, 2025 at 7:48 AM
The nuclear ☢️ mass energy scale thing is a serious delusion.

It is😅

growth religion:
we make it work , in 10 years promise, just give us 10x more energy and 10x more resources ah and also create the slave army l(robots) that allows for hyper monopolies and dictatorships

„Social Media“?

Then there is this question why the tower was created, how our pursuit of acceleration of technology - of growth of resource consumption - how it came to happen?
Can there ever be sustainable energy without sustainable technology?
These are questions- long overdue - which we should ask.
October 11, 2025 at 4:27 PM
there are some interesting points there. but also there are some missing.

yes I agree the tower of abstraction is to high. But also we have focused too much on efficiency. This focus on efficiency lead to a decrease in resilience. probably i like dave akleys work on robust computing in this regard

depending on how much you want to push your existential level. 😅
i do not think that the crisis of science can be resolved without spirituality/religion.
have you watched predictive history in that context ?
October 1, 2025 at 12:05 PM
watch sabine hossenfelder on that topic , it got at least serious issues
